Looking to become a licensed security guard? In Florida, security guard training is a must at a licensed school, requiring 40 hours for eligibility for the Class D security license. Domestic Security Training Academy offers comprehensive courses to help you pass the security license exam and launch your security career. Our expert instructors provide security training for the highly sought-after unarmed D license and armed G license. Completing our training earns you a necessary security certificate for license application at the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). Unarmed "Class D" Security Courses
Both Online and Onsite Classes are available Monday through Friday every week. This is a mandatory 40 hour training required to obtain a security license in the state of Florida.
Armed "Class G"
Security Courses
28-hour advanced training covering the state of Florida firearm laws, mechanics, and live range handling. Options include weapon rentals, ammo, and range fees. Classes are held every other weekend.
4 hr. "Class G" Recertification
This 4 hour class is required in order to renew a "Class G" security officer license annually. This course meets all state mandates, including a written re-qualification test and range time.

Florida Security Officer License Certification
In order to pursue a career as a Security Guard/Security Officer in the State of Florida, individuals must successfully complete the Florida Security Officer License Certification Course. The essential qualification for working as an Unarmed Security Officer in Florida is the class "D" License.
